Crescent Sdn Bhd was incorporated on the 11th of April 2009, with the objective of setting an end-to-end online global Master Degree program that specialises in Islamic banking and finance. This idea came into being from the consensus of various key professionals around the world, who felt that the time was right to ensure correct Islamic teachings on Islamic finance that should be made available globally. This is because the rapid growth rate of Islamic finance over the past ten years has diverted institutions and individuals from the real objectives of Islamic finance. Therefore, this program is intended to provide Islamic finance knowledge of genuine and excellent quality to professionals, theorists and students at the tertiary level. It is also intended to provide easy access to learning for those who are unable to attend classroom teachings. The marketing mission is to sell the product locally as to reach other global areas where Islamic finance is still new and growing rapidly, such as Australia, Japan and China. Launching this program will make CRESCENT the world's first completely online global Master program that specialises in Islamic banking and finance. This is because Crescent not only designs, develops and markets educational Islamic finance products and services, but its unique IT feature will also make it an end-to-end online learning experience for participants. |
